Jangheung-gun Achieves Top Award for Two Consecutive Years in Jeonnam Province Investment Attraction Evaluation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, achieved the distinction of receiving the top award for two consecutive years in the investment attraction evaluation hosted by Jeollanam-do.

According to the county on the 17th, at the ‘2021 Jeollanam-do Job, Economy, and Investment Attraction Festival’ held on the 16th at the Wangin Room of Jeonnam Provincial Office, Jangheung-gun earned high scores across all evaluation categories including pure investment attraction performance, investment environment creation, and general investment attraction administration, winning the top award among 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.

This result is attributed to Jangheung-gun’s strong will and passion in attracting investment for the Jangheung Bio Food Industrial Complex, as well as the participation of all county employees in investment attraction, provision of investment incentives, and close cooperative relationships with investment-related organizations such as the Jeonnam Development Corporation.

In particular, the Jangheung Bio Food Industrial Complex currently hosts 72 companies with a 53% sales rate. Despite the challenging domestic and international situation due to COVID-19, a corporate council has been formed, and recently 16 companies have newly started construction and operations, bringing vitality to the industrial complex.

A county official stated, “Since over 70% of the Jangheung Bio Food Industrial Complex consists of food and beverage manufacturing companies, we will strive to create a clean, pleasant, and eco-friendly industrial complex going forward.”
