[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] RobotiZ, a domestic native robot solution specialist company, is showing strong performance. The news that it has secured patents related to wheels, a core competitive edge of delivery robots, and is advancing overseas appears to have influenced its stock price.
At 9:31 a.m. on the 16th, RobotiZ was trading at 18,000 KRW, up 13.92% from the previous day.
RobotiZ announced that it has registered two patents for ‘autonomous driving robots’ and ‘driving modules for autonomous driving robots.’ By applying the patented technology secured by RobotiZ, robots can autonomously generate routes and move without inputting specific driving paths. The driving performance has been improved to accurately recognize and avoid or easily overcome various driving obstacles frequently encountered in outdoor spaces.
Robots equipped with the new driving module overcome irregular road conditions by adjusting the strength of the wheel force or by folding and unfolding. Equipped with a ‘cushion-type active suspension,’ it can safely transport goods while mitigating shocks when passing obstacles such as stairs and speed bumps.
RobotiZ plans to apply the patented technology to its outdoor delivery robot ‘Ilgaemi’ and expand commercialization into various service fields such as ▲food delivery ▲cargo transportation ▲security patrol ▲advertising and guidance.
Kim Byungsoo, CEO of RobotiZ, introduced, "Overcoming various situations and variables that occur during autonomous driving and delivering goods stably to customers is the core competitiveness of robot delivery services." He added, "We will leverage the enhanced technological differentiation through domestic patents to secure local overseas customers with high demand and leap forward as a global robot total solution company providing top-level autonomous driving robot services."
RobotiZ was the first domestic company to pass the autonomous driving robot regulatory sandbox in 2019 and conducted a demonstration of the outdoor delivery robot ‘Ilgaemi’ in the Magok district last year. Recently, it is conducting demonstration tests with global logistics companies not only in Korea but also overseas, preparing for full-scale commercialization.
