DaATI, Launch of Co-CEO System with Sangbaek Lee and Ilsu Lee

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Daea T&I, a domestic railway signal control system specialist company, announced on the 15th that its board of directors resolved to adopt a dual CEO system.

Lee Sang-baek, Head of Future Strategy Division, will lead the management division, and Lee Il-su, Head of Sales Division, will lead the railway business division. The organizational restructuring is expected to serve as an opportunity for a new leap forward for Daea T&I, which has led the domestic railway signal industry through specialized role sharing.

The two proven CEOs are expected to efficiently operate each division based on their expertise. The newly appointed CEO of the management division, Lee Sang-baek, is a financial expert who handled corporate finance and asset management at Seoul Securities and Hanil Investment Trust Management. Since joining Daea T&I in 2007, he has been recognized for his contributions to the company's growth by stabilizing the financial structure as the Chief Financial Officer. The newly appointed CEO of the railway business division, Lee Il-su, joined Daea T&I in 2000 from LG Industrial Systems and has proven his capabilities by successfully leading the railway signal business as the head of sales during the company's rapid growth period, expanding not only domestic business but also entering overseas railway markets.

Founder Chairman Choi Jin-woo will focus on serving as the chairman of the board of directors and concentrate on securing future growth engines through new businesses. Chairman Choi is expected to present a clear vision and strategy amid rapidly changing domestic and international management environments by focusing on the direction the railway industry should take in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and through mid- to long-term growth strategies and overseas business plans.

A Daea T&I official said, “The transition to the dual CEO system and board chairman is a strategic decision to establish a system that can actively respond to future external environments and ensure sustainable growth.”
