"Male students grab child's arms and slap cheeks... Child's clothes soaked in blood"
[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] A shocking incident occurred in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, where about 10 middle school students assaulted a 6th-grade elementary school girl. The victim's parents urged, "Please impose severe punishment so that this heinous assault ends with our child."
On the 14th, a petition titled "This is a case where 11 people retaliated and assaulted a 6th-grade elementary school girl. Please help" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board. This petition has currently met the preliminary consent condition of over 100 people and is under review by the administrator.
B, who identified herself as the mother raising her 6th-grade daughter A in Paju, opened up, "The incident happened around 6:00 to 6:30 PM on the 7th at a playground near our home."
She said, "On the day of the incident, my child did not come out of her room, so I went in and found her clothes covered in blood," and added, "When I asked why there was blood on her clothes, she said, 'I fought with my friends, and my nose was bleeding.'" She recounted the situation at that time.
She continued, "Feeling something was wrong, I asked my daughter to lower her mask. Her face under her bloodshot eyes was dreadful," and said, "Her nose and mouth were covered in blood, and her nose was very swollen. When I asked the tearful child what happened, she said that older girls and boys hit her on the way home," expressing her outrage.
B immediately reported to the police and then took A to the hospital emergency room. B lamented, "Seeing my child's nose and mouth swelling more and more and in pain, the doctor said the swelling was severe and that a CT scan might be necessary."
B also claimed that this was not the first time her daughter had been assaulted. According to B, on June 23, A said, "Crazy! They are crazy," upon seeing two male students riding a shared electric scooter. The two boys then called A over, made her kneel, hit her head, and forced her to apologize. At that time, A apologized, and upon learning this, B scolded her, saying, "Why did you curse at the older boys? Don't ever do that again."
Six months later, on December 7, while returning home, A was led to the apartment playground by boys who were following and calling her. There were three girls and eight boys at the playground, and they had conversations like "Is she the one getting hit?" and "Yes, she is." A thought, 'So this is because of that incident.'
B said, "Three girls blew cigarette smoke in my child's face, told her 'You try smoking too,' continuously spat on her clothes, and pulled her hair," and "The boys held her arms, slapped her cheeks, punched her face, and kicked her head after she fell down."
She added, "One girl held the crying child to prevent her from going home, while the other two went to buy wet wipes," and "They wiped the bleeding child with wet wipes, but when the bleeding didn't stop, they said she had to wash her face in the bathroom before letting her go, so she walked to the shopping area and washed her face."
She said, "There were bloodstains everywhere in the shopping area bathroom where my child, bleeding, walked, and it broke my heart," and "My heart ached when my child said she couldn't even turn on the light in her room because she was worried her mother would be concerned. Please help us end this pain that is tearing my heart apart, as my child was scared she might die without seeing her mother because of the heavy bleeding."
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
