[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] CPlatform, an IT solution supply specialist company under the ITCEN Group, announced on the 13th that it held a collaboration model agreement ceremony with Namu Technology and Red Hat Korea at CPlatform's headquarters in Daerim-dong, Seoul, on the 13th to target the domestic public and private sector hybrid cloud market.
Through this strategic partnership, Namu Technology's PaaS platform, 'Cocktail Cloud,' will be integrated with Red Hat's enterprise Kubernetes solution, Red Hat OpenShift, to support domestic customers in building cloud environments and transitioning from existing virtualization (VM) environments to container and cloud environments.
The functionality verification for running OpenShift within Cocktail has been completed, and they plan to obtain the “Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification,” a certification program that enables deployment and management of applications within OpenShift. Through this, the Cocktail Cloud catalog will be provided within OpenShift, and Cocktail Cloud is expected to be listed on the Red Hat Marketplace.
CPlatform will supply the collaboration model of Namu Technology's 'Cocktail Cloud' and 'Red Hat OpenShift' to the hybrid cloud market in both public and private sectors. This will lead the way in providing technical support for transitioning from existing legacy infrastructure environments to container environments and building hybrid cloud platforms.
As Korea's first container technology-based PaaS solution, Cocktail Cloud supports customized cloud build environments according to a company's business environment. From a single control point screen, it can integrate and manage all applications deployed across multi-clusters, physical servers, and cloud infrastructure.
Trusted by more than 3,500 companies worldwide, Red Hat OpenShift is an enterprise Kubernetes platform for implementing open hybrid clouds. It undergoes security and performance verification processes for the latest Kubernetes versions, allowing companies to use it with confidence, and supports optimization as needed from bare-metal environments to public, private clouds, and edge.
Jung Kyung-gyun, CEO of CPlatform, said, “The approach to cloud adoption by public institutions and private companies is diversifying, and interest in PaaS solutions, which are essential for implementing hybrid clouds, is increasing. Through the collaboration model of Namu Technology's 'Cocktail Cloud' and 'Red Hat OpenShift,' we can respond to market demand,” adding, “We will lead in providing customers considering hybrid cloud adoption with easy-to-build methodologies while supplying customized cloud platforms.”
Jung Cheol, CEO of Namu Technology, stated, “Cocktail Cloud has secured major references in finance, manufacturing, and public sectors such as Samsung Electronics, Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, Shinhan Bank, Hyundai Card, Doosan, and LS, expanding its presence,” and emphasized, “By combining Namu Technology and Red Hat's open hybrid cloud technology collaboration model with CPlatform's strong sales know-how, we will lead and grow together in next-generation public and private open hybrid cloud business.”
Kim Kyung-sang, CEO of Red Hat Korea, explained, “Red Hat's open hybrid cloud strategy provides a cloud environment where customers are not locked into specific cloud providers but can develop, deploy, operate, and consistently manage various applications using open-source technologies across all IT environments,” adding, “Public and private customers will be able to overcome the limitations of existing cloud services, which had operational difficulties due to isolated environments, through open hybrid cloud.”
