[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon demanded an apology from former Roh Moo-hyun Foundation chairman Yoo Si-min regarding the 'Cho Kuk incident.'
On the 9th, Jin shared an article containing Yoo's remarks on his Facebook and stated this. Jin said in the post, "Former Chairman Yoo should apologize first for the Cho Kuk incident," adding, "Who caused pain to those who spoke the truth?"
Earlier that day, Yoo appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and said, "The more clearly someone makes moral or policy criticisms of others, the more they must risk receiving greater criticism if they act contrary to those criticisms." This was aimed at Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, regarding his 'apology for the Cho Kuk incident.' Yoo also said, "If you can't even talk, you can't be called a presidential candidate."

On the radio broadcast that day, Yoo defended candidate Lee's criminal record by saying, "If it were a Ferrari that only drives gently on highways, it would be flawless, but a car that drives off-road will have stones hitting the windshield causing cracks and blemishes." He also commented on the investigation of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, saying, "There is a question of whether the exercise of prosecutorial power was appropriate," and "There is a question of whether Cho and his family engaged in legally and morally justifiable acts while living their lives."
However, former professor Jin said, "It is absurd to hear this from someone who led cyber fascists who carried out collective lynching against those criticizing the Cho Kuk incident," and questioned, "So does this mean citizens should not criticize Cho Kuk, but Lee Jae-myung can criticize Cho Kuk?" He sarcastically added, "Candidate Lee has become the new leader served by government intellectuals."
