[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon recently commented on former Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae and former Roh Moo-hyun Foundation Chairman Yoo Si-min, who expressed opinions on the so-called 'apology for the Cho Kuk incident' by Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, saying, "They can be seen as the outside Yoon Seok-yeol campaign headquarters."

On the 10th, former professor Jin wrote on his Facebook, "Lee Jae-myung probably wanted to cross Cho Kuk's river, but it was greatly disrupted by the appearance of Chu (Mi-ae) and Yoo (Si-min). The atmosphere instantly reverted to that time," he said.

This refers to the situation where the candidate Lee apologized for the Cho Kuk incident, former Minister Chu strongly criticized it, while former Chairman Yoo said, "It is natural to do so, and if you cannot even say that much, you cannot be called a presidential candidate."

He said, "Chu (Mi-ae) is openly disliked by Lee (Jae-myung)'s camp, and Yoo (Si-min) themselves are confused whether he will be helpful or not. They called them in urgently, but in my view, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages."

He added, "Yoo Si-min's influence is limited to the Democratic Party's supporters, mostly hardliners. The moderate voters have not trusted him for a long time," and predicted, "Rather, there is a strong aversion to his characteristic sophistry and rhetoric. It will rather be an obstacle to expanding the moderate base."

Former professor Jin explained, "His comeback means that even the traditional supporters of the Democratic Party do not trust Lee Jae-myung," and "So they are trying to transform Lee into a candidate acceptable to them by relying on his unique sophistry."

Meanwhile, former professor Jin also targeted former Chairman Yoo on social media the day before (the 9th). Jin criticized, "Citizens should not criticize Cho Kuk, but Lee Jae-myung can criticize Cho Kuk? Lee has become the new leader served by the pro-government intellectuals."
