It has been revealed that approximately 68,000 people applied for the 3rd public pre-sale subscription, which supplies 4,167 households.


The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 10th that the application period for the '2021 3rd Public Pre-sale Subscription' has ended, with 68,302 applicants recording an average competition rate of 16.4 to 1. Specifically, the public sale housing recorded a competition rate of 31 to 1 (special 16.7 to 1, general 79.5 to 1), and the Newlywed Hope Town recorded a competition rate of 3.3 to 1.


In particular, Hanam Gyosan, a 3rd phase new town, saw 55,374 applicants for the supply of 1,056 public sale households, showing the highest number of applicants and the highest competition rate (52.4 to 1) among new towns supplied through pre-sale so far. The Gwacheon Juam district, a popular area, also recorded a competition rate of 34.6 to 1 with 3,944 applicants for the supply of 114 public sale households, which is 100% allocated to the local area.


For the Newlywed Hope Town, after accepting applications from residents of the relevant area, additional applications from residents of the metropolitan area were received, resulting in 7,191 applicants and a final competition rate of 3.3 to 1.


The age distribution of pre-sale applicants was similar to that of the 1st and 2nd rounds. For public sale, people in their 30s were the largest group (48.3%), followed by those in their 40s (23.8%) and 50s (12.6%).


For the Newlywed Hope Town, those in their 30s accounted for 74.2% and those in their 20s for 13.5%. By region, 46.4% of applicants were from Seoul, and 53.5% from Gyeonggi and Incheon, confirming that Seoul residents continue to show interest in business districts located in Gyeonggi Province.


The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will first announce the winners on the 23rd after verifying the appropriateness of subscription savings accounts and selecting winners according to subscription qualification methods. They will then conduct additional reviews to confirm compliance with income and non-homeownership criteria.


Meanwhile, the next 4th pre-sale subscription, which will supply the largest volume this year, is scheduled to begin application announcements at the end of this month, followed by application submissions. Approximately 136,000 households will be supplied in areas including Namyangju Wangsuk (2,300 households), Bucheon Daejang (1,800 households), and Goyang Changneung (1,700 households).
