Minister of SMEs and Startups Award Winner
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KTB Network, which is scheduled to be listed on KOSDAQ on the 16th, was recognized as the best venture capital (VC) operator and received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups.
KTB Network announced on the 9th that it received this award at the 'Korea VC Awards 2021' hosted by Korea Venture Investment Corp.
This event, now in its 12th year, is held annually to encourage and celebrate the achievements of VCs, investors, and startups that have contributed to creating an innovative venture ecosystem.
KTB Network is a first-generation domestic VC with over 40 years of investment and exit experience. It has a track record of more than 300 domestic and international IPOs and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). A representative investment is in Woowa Brothers, the operator of 'Baedal Minjok,' where it invested 2.3 billion KRW and recovered 62.9 billion KRW. It is also the only domestic VC that remains an early investor and current shareholder of Viva Republica, which operates the comprehensive financial service 'Toss.'
It is scheduled to be listed on KOSDAQ on the 16th of this month. On the 7th, it completed its general public subscription with a competition rate of 327 to 1. The funds raised through the listing will be used to build a diverse fund lineup, including large blind funds, overseas investment funds, and secondary funds.
