[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Mokpo Office of Education Wee Center announced on the 9th that it conducted a family support program for about 40 students and parents from elementary and middle schools in the district.
This program was a hands-on activity to make wreaths using cotton in celebration of Christmas.
Participating parents and children spent time strengthening their bonds by respecting each other's preferences and opinions through the texture and warmth of cotton.
Kim Gap-su, the Superintendent of Education, said, "Communication and love within the family are the most important parts of a child's character and growth process," adding, "I hope this experience of natural contact between parents and children will allow them to share stories they usually couldn't and increase intimacy."
