Hampyeong-gun's 'Transparent Personnel Policy' Boosts Public Institution Integrity Scores


[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The comprehensive integrity rating of Hampyeong-gun rose one grade from 4th grade last year to 3rd grade in the public institution integrity evaluation conducted annually by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission targeting 243 metropolitan and local governments nationwide.


According to the county on the 9th, in the '2021 National Public Institution Integrity Survey' announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Hampyeong-gun received a score of 8.05 in comprehensive integrity, up 0.68 points from last year, earning a 3rd grade rating.


Hampyeong-gun's external integrity score rose 0.79 points from last year to 8.29, and internal integrity increased by 0.35 points to 7.37, both recording a 3rd grade rating in external and internal integrity.


In external integrity, the experience rate of entertainment and convenience each received a perfect score of 10 points, and among tasks, the subsidy support item recorded 9.59 points.


In internal integrity, the 'personnel affairs' survey in the work integrity field also received a perfect score of 10 points.


Mayor Lee Sang-ik is evaluated as having established himself as a model of a clean public service society in the personnel field through initiatives such as 'breaking down job series, promoting fair and transparent personnel based on ability and performance, and outsourcing the personnel system to external professional institutions for local government career competitive recruitment exams.'


An official from the county audit office stated, "It seems that continuous self-purification efforts and personnel innovation contributed to the high evaluation in the integrity assessment," and emphasized, "We will thoroughly review the vulnerable areas in the evaluation results and prepare measures to ensure that next year's integrity rating improves compared to this year."
