Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Holds 'Fire Alert Zone Designation Review Meeting'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Song Seonghun) announced on the 9th that it held a Fire Watch Zone Designation Review Meeting.

A Fire Watch Zone is designated through risk assessment and analysis of fire-vulnerable areas where the risk of fire occurrence is high or where significant human and property damage is expected in case of fire, to ▲establish a fire safety network ▲eliminate fire vulnerability factors through special fire investigations ▲improve response capabilities through on-site adaptation and training for related personnel on the use of fire-fighting facilities.

This review meeting, conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, was a re-designation review of existing Fire Watch Zones, attended by eight review members including fire officers and fire facility managers.

Lee Gwanyong, Director of the Prevention and Safety Division, said, “Following the designation of the Fire Watch Zone, we will promote comprehensive fire safety measures and do our best for the safety of citizens.”
