No Corruption Cases, No Bribery or Entertainment... Realizing 'Clean Boseong'
Vertical Rise from Grade 4 to Grade 2 Since the 7th Elected Term Inauguration
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun (Governor Kim Cheol-woo) announced on the 9th that it received a 'Comprehensive Integrity Grade 2' for two consecutive years in the '2021 Public Institution Integrity Measurement Survey' conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
According to the data released by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, Boseong-gun's comprehensive integrity score was 8.46 points (out of 10), the highest score among the 22 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
By category, it received a Grade 2 for two consecutive years in external integrity evaluated by civil petitioners and others, and it was found that there were no corruption cases and no experiences of bribery, entertainment, or convenience for two consecutive years, realizing a 'Trusted Clean Boseong.'
Boseong-gun showed an upward trend in integrity every year, achieving Grade 4 in comprehensive integrity in 2018, Grade 3 in 2019, and Grade 2 in 2020, and this year also received Grade 2 in comprehensive integrity, achieving Grade 2 for two consecutive years.
Next year, it plans to aim for Grade 1 integrity and work on creating a clean Boseong.
A county official said, "Comprehensive integrity is an indicator of the trust of residents in county administration," adding, "During the 7th local government term, since the first approval was for the practice of integrity by Boseong-gun officials, we have operated the county administration focusing on integrity and innovation, and we are very honored to have received Grade 2 in comprehensive integrity for two consecutive years," and said, "Next year, we will accelerate efforts to create a clean Boseong aiming for Grade 1."
Meanwhile, to improve integrity, Boseong-gun established special measures for integrity improvement, implemented employee integrity pledges, promoted zero-corruption integrity education, conducted self-integrity evaluations, distributed clean Boseong brochures, sent integrity text messages, and carried out various anti-corruption and integrity policies.
The public institution integrity evaluation is conducted annually by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission targeting public institutions. It is calculated by synthesizing the results of external integrity surveys conducted on civil petitioners who experienced construction management and supervision, various permits and approvals, and subsidy projects in Boseong-gun from July 1 last year to June 30 this year, and internal integrity surveys conducted on employees currently working in Boseong-gun regarding personnel affairs, budget execution, and fairness of work instructions.
