[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 9th that it will sign a "Business Agreement to Support the Commercialization of Fintech Companies" with the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 10th.


Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in ▲supporting testbeds for the commercialization of fintech companies' technologies and ideas ▲recommending outstanding fintech companies and providing mentoring for fintech companies' collaboration with financial institutions ▲and exchanging information for the development of the fintech industry.


IBK Industrial Bank is expected to receive a dedicated test space for the "IBK 1st Lab" from the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Along with the existing lab space operated at the Euljiro IBK Finance Tower, an additional base will be established at "Seoul Fintech Lab," the largest fintech incubation institution in Korea located in Yeouido, enabling a wider variety of tests.


Meanwhile, IBK Industrial Bank will continue to discover and support outstanding fintech companies with innovative ideas by serving as a testbed for the commercialization of fintech companies' technologies and ideas.


An IBK Industrial Bank official said, "Through this agreement, we have established a fintech communication channel for the 'IBK 1st Lab' in the Mapo and Yeouido areas," adding, "We will continue to expand collaborative programs that can grow together with fintech companies."
