On the 9th, Nam-gu announced that it will conduct the ‘3Go (High·Hard·Care) Public Official Survey’ to select the best employee in the civil complaint field through an internal voting method, in order to encourage public officials who perform their duties diligently with kindness and consideration and enhance administrative trust.
In the civil complaint courtesy category, employees who actively promote work from the residents’ perspective and demonstrate the best model of complaint response will be selected.
In the grievance complaint category, employees who silently handled complaints with complex content despite an excessive workload will be selected, and in the on-site complaint category, employees who responded to complaint sites and promptly handled various complaints while providing the best on-site complaint services will be chosen.
Nam-gu plans to select the best public officials in three categories?civil complaint courtesy, grievance complaints, and on-site complaints?after a four-stage evaluation reviewing factors such as the length of service in the relevant work, number of complaints handled, evaluation cases from the Resident Participation Civil Complaint Innovation Committee, participation in courtesy training, work attitude, and diligence to ensure a fair assessment.
The first stage of evaluation is the department head’s verification of candidate qualifications, and the second stage is a cutoff that narrows down candidates to 5?7 per category by passing document screening such as work performance.
In the third stage, the screening committee deliberates to select multiple candidates per category who will proceed to the final survey, and the fourth stage is a survey of all employees, where the employee who receives the most votes in each category is selected as the top public official.
The results of the selection for the 3Go public officials in the civil complaint field will be finalized at the end of this month, and awardees will receive incentives such as a commendation from the district mayor, a prize of 500,000 won, and one day of special leave.
A Nam-gu official said, “The three selected this time are the faces of courteous administration at Nam-gu Office and at the same time the employees who endure the most hardships in difficult places,” adding, “Through boosting morale and motivation, we will foster pride in excellent courteous public officials and help spread a culture of courtesy in the public service community.”
