[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Electro-Mechanics appointed two first-ever vice presidents in their 40s in the regular executive personnel reshuffle conducted on the 9th of 2022.
Through this executive reshuffle, Samsung Electro-Mechanics promoted a total of 20 people, including 5 vice presidents, 13 general managers, and 2 masters. The company stated that, based on the principle of meritocracy, they appointed young and talented individuals with both execution ability and growth potential, promoting Kim Jonghan and Jo Jeonggyun as vice presidents in their 40s.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics also explained that they promoted management candidates and next-generation leaders who will lead change and innovation in the digital transformation era and sustain growth as a global number one component company. The personnel changes focused on continuously strengthening core competencies in the component business and accelerating future preparations in the substrate and module businesses.
Following last year, Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced that they selected one outstanding female talent who demonstrated professional capabilities and leadership to achieve results this year as well. Additionally, to secure mid- to long-term elemental technologies, top-level technical experts in the inductor and plating fields were appointed as masters.
With this regular executive reshuffle, Samsung Electro-Mechanics has completed the management personnel appointments and plans to soon carry out organizational restructuring and position-related personnel changes to continue future growth and innovation.
