CJ CheilJedang Unveils Plant-Based Probiotic Experience Space 'Sup Sok-ui BYO House'

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] CJ CheilJedang announced on the 9th that it will operate 'BYO House in the Forest,' a space where consumers can experience the plant-based probiotic 'BYO.'

'BYO House in the Forest,' created using plants, is a pop-up store designed to introduce the unique features of plant-based probiotics that possess strong vitality capable of reaching the intestines. It will be open until the 21st at Woops a Daisy Time Villas, a plant culture space located in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province.

The event venue features a quiz zone and a photo zone where visitors can experience 'BYO Probiotics.' Visitors who take a certification photo at the photo zone and upload it to their social networking service (SNS) will receive a 10-day supply of 'BYO Probiotics' products. Those who solve quizzes related to 'plant-derived probiotics' through kiosks installed in the quiz zone will be given a 10-day supply of the product along with a kit containing succulent plants.

Along with operating the pop-up store, a donation will also be made. CJ CheilJedang plans to deliver an amount of 'BYO Probiotics' equivalent to the number of event participants to infants and young children with weak immunity through the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.

A CJ CheilJedang official stated, "This event was planned to inform consumers about the criteria for choosing good probiotics," adding, "We will continue to get closer to consumers with the plant-based probiotic 'BYO' products that guarantee both strong vitality and high guaranteed viable counts."

Meanwhile, 'BYO Probiotics' is a probiotic brand launched by CJ CheilJedang in 2013 after more than eight years of research and development. It features a lineup with high guaranteed viable counts using plant-derived strains 'CJLP133,' 'CJLP243,' and 'CJLP55,' independently developed by the CJ Probiotics Research Institute. These plant-derived probiotics, discovered in highly acidic environments, possess strong vitality that allows them to survive stomach acid and reach and adhere to the intestines.
