On the 9th, Suwon City announced that it will carry out the "2021 Winter Natural Disaster Preparedness Comprehensive Inspection of Areas at Risk of Human Casualties" from the 7th to the 17th of this month.
During this period, Suwon City will inspect 43 locations, including 8 forward bases for rapid snow removal, 25 habitual freezing sections, and 10 snow accumulation-vulnerable structures such as old houses.
The main inspection items are ▲(snow removal forward bases) storage conditions of snow removal agents and equipment, leakage or corrosion of snow removal equipment, etc. ▲(habitual freezing sections) installation of guide signs, presence of safety facilities against freezing, designation of on-site responsible personnel, etc. ▲(snow accumulation-vulnerable structures) damage to roof finishing materials, occurrence of building leaks, etc.
If any facilities with insufficient safety management are found as a result of the inspection, Suwon City will take measures such as facility repairs, and for private facilities, request owners to take safety measures to support prompt improvements.
Suwon City completed inspections of 8 locations, including habitual freezing sections in the Suwon area, on the 7th.
A Suwon City official emphasized, "We will establish a rapid response system to prevent human casualties caused by winter natural disasters, conduct thorough safety inspections, and protect the precious lives and property of citizens."
