[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] The Jeonbuk Namwon City Small Business Association (President Kang Sang-nam) provided free lunch to local senior citizens on the 8th.
According to the Namwon City Small Business Association, the event was held at Samsamdon Restaurant (CEO Wang Hong-seok) located in Dotong-dong.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, instead of dining in the restaurant, the carefully prepared scorched rice samgyetang was packed for each person to eat at home.
About 100 local senior citizens who heard about the event visited the restaurant and had a short but meaningful time exchanging warm conversations and greetings with the association members.
The event was conducted with strict adherence to quarantine rules such as hand sanitization and registration, and meal distribution was staggered to prevent seniors from gathering at the same time.
Kang Sang-nam, president of the Small Business Association, said, “We considered whether to hold the event due to the COVID-19 situation, but as the cold winter season approaches, we wanted to offer a healthy meal to the seniors.”
Meanwhile, the Namwon City Small Business Association, formed in 2015, currently has about 150 members. In August, they opened an association office and have been actively continuing social service activities along with advocating for small business rights.
