[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The Korea Road Traffic Authority held the '2021 Drunk Driving ZERO Campaign' on the 8th at the Seoul Western Driver's License Test Center.

Under the theme "Drunk driving is a crime that leads to death," this campaign was organized to raise awareness about drunk driving and prevent related traffic accidents during the year-end season.

In particular, it emphasized that not only car drivers but also motorcycle, bicycle, and personal mobility device (PM) operators can be punished for drunk driving.

At the event, a performance conveyed the message that intoxicated individuals who cannot resist the temptation of drunk driving come close to death. Additionally, visitors to the test center were given the opportunity to participate in the campaign by pledging to eradicate drunk driving and taking commemorative photos.

A representative from the Korea Road Traffic Authority stated, "We planned this event to prevent drunk driving traffic accidents in advance during the year-end season when there are many drinking parties and gatherings," and added, "Please remember that drunk driving is a dangerous act that can cause serious harm to yourself and others and may lead to death, so it must never be done."
