[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] On the 8th at 2 p.m., Busan Mayor Park Hyung-jun held an 'Open Campus Meeting' with Dong-A University, university and corporate officials, and university students.
The Open Campus Meeting is an event where Mayor Park visits universities to explore government-industry-academia cooperation projects and discuss ways for mutual development.
Starting with Dong-Eui Science College in June, this is the sixth meeting, including Dong-A University on this day.
The event was held under the theme of "A New Busan, Future New Industry Advancement and Knowledge-Based Ecosystem Creation through Government-Industry-Academia Cooperation."
The event was attended by Mayor Park, Dong-A University President Lee Hae-woo, CEO Kim Dae-sung of Cryos, CEO Kim Min-seok of Medic Bio NK, CEO Nam Tae-woo of DI Solution, CEO Yoo Jun-il of UDM, CEO Lee Joon-seok of InVize, and Dong-A University students.
Mayor Park is scheduled to hold discussions with attendees on the hydrogen economy, biomedical, and artificial intelligence industries at Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus.
On the 1st, Busan City announced a plan to foster the hydrogen industry to grow into a global hydrogen economy green city. The plan involves investing 2.4031 trillion KRW over 10 years in 15 detailed tasks across four major sectors.
Mayor Park is expected to explain the fostering plan in detail to the attendees during the event.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun said, "I hope Dong-A University, which has excellent infrastructure such as the Valve Technology Support Center, will become a representative university for government-industry-academia cooperation in response to the hydrogen economy."
