[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Authority (hereinafter referred to as KAGMA) announced on the 8th that it will hold a catchphrase contest for KAGMA until the 21st.
The contest is held to encourage public interest in arboretums and gardens. Anyone can participate by proposing a catchphrase of about 15 characters expressing KAGMA.
KAGMA plans to collect the submitted catchphrases and select a total of six outstanding works through internal and external judges, awarding prizes. The proposers of the outstanding works will receive prize money in January next year: 500,000 KRW for the grand prize (1 winner), 300,000 KRW each for excellence awards (2 winners), and 100,000 KRW each for encouragement awards (3 winners).
Ryu Kwang-soo, Director of KAGMA, said, "We hope to discover and utilize fresh ideas through the contest," and added, "Above all, we hope the contest will serve as an opportunity to raise public interest in arboretums and gardens."
