[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] NS Home Shopping announced on the 8th that it received the Grand Prize in the Sustainable Management category at the '2021 Korea Management Awards.'


Now in its 34th year, the Korea Management Awards, hosted by the Korea Management Association Consulting, comprehensively evaluates management capabilities and innovation activities to select and award companies with outstanding performance in each category. The Sustainable Management category is awarded to companies recognized for establishing a sustainable management system by sincerely addressing economic, social, and environmental issues. NS Home Shopping has won this award for four consecutive years since 2018.


NS Home Shopping has focused on strengthening ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management through eco-friendly activities specialized in food distribution. Representative initiatives include 'Creating an Eco-friendly Broadcasting Production Environment,' which drastically reduces waste generation and power consumption; 'Support for Eco-friendly Packaging Materials,' which helps small and medium-sized enterprise partners participate in and establish eco-friendly management; and the public-private 'Marine Resource Protection Campaign' operated in collaboration with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.


Additionally, through consumer-centered management under the CS principle of 'With the Customer's Heart,' NS Home Shopping has obtained CCM certification for seven consecutive years from 2009 to this year. It operates the industry's first product selection committee composed entirely of customer committee members and consumer organization experts, and implements a rigorous quality management system for customers as well as OK Service, which transforms customer dissatisfaction into satisfaction.
