Seoul City Delivers 2,021 'Food Sharing Boxes' Together with Cheongjeongwon in 2021

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 8th that it will hold the '2021 Happiness Shared More Deliciously' event with Chungjungone to deliver food sharing boxes to vulnerable groups in Seoul at the end of the year.

This event is a social contribution activity that Daesang has been conducting since 2007 to raise awareness of the meaning of sharing and concern for neighbors in need during the cold winter. Since 2013, Seoul City has collaborated with Daesang to donate food products worth a total of 2 billion KRW to 18,153 households over the past eight years.

The 2,021 sharing boxes produced on-site that day will be fully provided to neighbors in need through the 25 district Itda Food Bank Markets in Seoul. Especially this year, to mark the end of 2021, 2,021 sets of sharing boxes composed of 25 types of food products (worth about 200 million KRW) will be donated to share warmth with neighbors.

Daesang continuously donates popular food products worth about 4.3 billion KRW to Seoul's Itda Food Bank and Market through various social contribution events such as the 'Chonggajip Spring Kimchi Sharing' event, 'Love Rice Cake Soup,' and 'Love Sharing Bazaar,' in addition to the 'Chungjungone Sharing Box.'

Jung Soo-yong, Director of Seoul City Welfare Policy Office, said, "We are pleased to have continuously shared with Daesang Co., Ltd. for eight years since 2013," and added, "Going forward, Seoul City will strive to deliver warm sincerity by looking after neighbors in need through more diverse private partnerships so that they can have a warm winter."
