Korbit's Cryptocurrency Report 'Korbit Research' to Include Messari's Own Content
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Domestic cryptocurrency exchange Korbit announced on the 7th that it has signed an official partnership agreement with the US cryptocurrency research firm 'Messari.'
Messari, founded in 2018 by Ryan Selkis, former investment director of Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US, aggregates publicly available metrics from Coinbase, Gemini, Chainalysis, and others, providing information in a dashboard format more than twice a month on average. This is the first time Messari has signed a partnership agreement with a domestic company.
In August, Messari participated in a $21 million (approximately 24.8 billion KRW) funding round led by venture capital firm Point72 Ventures. Point72 Ventures is an early-stage startup investment firm established by Steve Cohen, a hedge fund billionaire.
Korbit will form a strategic content partnership with Messari and plans to translate and include Messari's proprietary content in Korbit's cryptocurrency research report, 'Korbit Research.' The translated Messari reports will be distributed separately from the monthly institutional investor trend reports independently published by the Korbit Research Center.
Jung Seok-moon, head of the Korbit Research Center, said, "It is an honor to collaborate with Messari, known as the Bloomberg of cryptocurrency research," adding, "We will systematically organize fragmented cryptocurrency information from a global perspective to enhance investors' understanding."
