Market Kurly's Dawn Delivery Starts in Busan and Ulsan Too: "Achieved Nationwide Coverage"

Logistics Subsidiary Fresh Solution Handles Delivery… 'Full Cold Chain' Maintains Product Freshness

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Market Kurly operator Kurly announced on the 7th that its dawn delivery service, 'Star Delivery,' has been expanded to Busan and Ulsan.

Kurly had provided Star Delivery mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area until last year, then expanded the service area to the Chungcheong region (Daejeon, Sejong, Cheonan, Asan, Cheongju) in May this year. Since July, Star Delivery has also been available in Daegu. This month, the service has been extended to Busan and Ulsan. Kurly emphasized, "The nationwide expansion strategy for dawn delivery is now in its final stage."

Star Delivery in the Busan and Ulsan areas is available 7 days a week. In Busan, the service covers 15 districts excluding Yeongdo-gu, and in Ulsan, it covers all 5 districts. However, Kurly stated that the delivery times for Star Delivery were partially adjusted due to physical distance and safe delivery considerations.

Compared to other regions, the order cutoff time has been moved earlier; only orders placed by 6 PM can be delivered via Star Delivery before 8 AM the next day. Orders placed between 6 PM and 10 PM will be delivered by regular courier service within the next day. Courier delivery is available 6 days a week, excluding orders placed on Saturdays.

Meanwhile, Star Delivery in Busan and Ulsan is directly managed by Market Kurly’s logistics subsidiary, Fresh Solution. After packing ordered products at Kurly’s metropolitan logistics center and sending them down in the first stage, the items are sorted by address at each logistics hub in Busan and Ulsan before final delivery to customers’ doorsteps. The Busan and Ulsan regions also operate under the same full cold chain delivery system applied in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong region, and Daegu.

To celebrate the launch of Star Delivery in Busan and Ulsan, Market Kurly is holding a 'Certify Your Home Star Delivery' event for customers in these regions until January 4 next year. Customers can search their delivery area on Market Kurly’s Busan and Ulsan Star Delivery promotion page, confirm eligibility, take a certification photo, and post it on their Instagram with the four provided hashtags to receive a 2,000 KRW credit.

Heo Tae-young, Kurly’s Chief Logistics Officer, said, "With the expansion of Star Delivery to Busan and Ulsan, Market Kurly’s Star Delivery service is now available in most major cities nationwide," adding, "We plan to enhance service quality further by extending Star Delivery order hours and optimizing operations."
