[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Maeil Dairies Jinam Social Welfare Foundation announced on the 6th that it delivered 450 boxes (4.5 tons) of kimchi to social welfare facilities and underprivileged groups in Gochang-gun.

On the 3rd, Maeil Dairies Jinam Social Welfare Foundation held the '2021 Hope Kimchi Sharing' delivery ceremony at Gochang-gun Office, attended by Yoo Gi-sang, the governor of Gochang-gun. The kimchi will be delivered to underprivileged groups in the region by the 10th, totaling 450 boxes of kimchi.

Since 2007, Maeil Dairies Jinam Social Welfare Foundation has held the 'Hope Kimchi Sharing' event annually, where employees personally prepare kimchi to deliver to neighbors in need. However, since last year, considering the COVID-19 situation, employee participation has been minimized and finished kimchi products are being delivered.

The kimchi delivered to social welfare facilities and underprivileged groups in Gochang-gun is 'Sangha Farm Kimchi,' made from eco-friendly cultivated beta cabbage containing 140 times more beta-carotene, and carefully selected 100% domestic ingredients such as chili powder and sun-dried salt from the Gochang region.

Meanwhile, Jinam Social Welfare Foundation was established in 1993 according to the will of Kim Bok-yong, the founder of Maeil Dairies. The core values of Jinam Social Welfare Foundation are social contribution, coexistence, and ethical management. Accordingly, it leads the spread of a sharing culture by conducting various social contribution activities. Representative activities include blood donation sharing, support for side dish projects for vulnerable groups, production of love lunch boxes, and formula milk donations for vulnerable groups.
