[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] CJ Logistics announced on the 6th that it held the ‘2021 Love Kimchi Sharing’ event at Yaksu Senior Welfare Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
CJ Logistics delivered 110 boxes of 10kg finished kimchi to Yaksu Senior Welfare Center and plans to share them with elderly living alone in Jung-gu who are at risk of food shortage during the winter season.
Since 2007, CJ Logistics employees have been personally making kimchi and delivering it to underprivileged neighbors through the ‘Love Kimchi Sharing’ event.
This year, considering the COVID-19 situation, finished kimchi products were prepared, and by the end of the year, about 1,990 boxes of kimchi weighing approximately 20 tons will be delivered nationwide to underprivileged neighbors in need, including local children’s centers, senior welfare facilities, and facilities for the disabled.
On this day, CJ Logistics also received a plaque of appreciation from Yaksu Senior Welfare Center in recognition of its continuous sharing efforts.
A CJ Logistics official said, “It is the corporate social responsibility to share warmth and make practical support for the underprivileged in the local community,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that can convey the hearts of our employees and strengthen ties with the local community.”
