Specifically, the funds will be allocated to ▲Expansion of Sinandong Administrative Welfare Center (600 million KRW) ▲Seismic reinforcement in Munhwa-dong (300 million KRW) ▲Sewer culvert in Punghyang-dong (600 million KRW), among others.
Rep. Jo said, "As Gwangju lawmakers united with a one-team spirit and made every effort to secure budgets for regional development, we were able to achieve the largest-ever national funding. I also thank the public officials of Gwangju city and autonomous districts who tirelessly traveled between Gwangju and Seoul to persuade government ministries such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport."
Meanwhile, Rep. Jo has been active in the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee and the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and recently served as the floor spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, playing a significant role in securing regional budgets for Gwangju.
