[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Ko Jae-woo) announced on the 5th that it held a completion ceremony for the Hwabuk 119 Center building.
The existing Hwabuk 119 Center has played a pivotal role in disaster prevention due to the rapid increase in fire service demand from the continuous development of the Hwabuk area, including Samhwa District and Hwabuk Industrial Complex. However, due to the aging building and cramped space resulting in poor working conditions, expansion and remodeling were initiated in February this year.
The Hwabuk 119 Center building, which began construction on February 17 this year, is a two-story building with a total floor area of 993㎡. The project cost approximately 1.9 billion KRW and was completed on October 27.
Through the expansion, insufficient spaces such as fire truck garages were secured, boldly improving the working environment and ensuring a prompt and safe dispatch system.
Ko Jae-woo, Chief of Jeju Fire Station, said, “With the completion of the Hwabuk 119 Center building expansion and the improved working environment, we will proactively respond to various disaster accidents and provide high-quality fire services.”
