[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, plans to invite small business owners to the nationwide campaign committee meeting on the 6th to hear their on-site voices and seek alternatives.
On the 5th, the Democratic Party campaign committee stated in a press release, "Following the nationwide campaign committee meeting with 200 young people aged 20-30 and online/offline participants, we will hold the third nationwide campaign committee meeting inviting 8 small business owners to listen to the vivid stories from the field of small business owners' livelihoods and seek alternatives focused on practical tasks."
At the meeting, small business owners are expected to address Lee with remarks including ▲ the need to expand loss compensation and support for industries excluded from loss compensation ▲ expansion of support for business closure and re-startup ▲ issues of delivery platform abuses and expansion of public delivery apps ▲ support for overseas market development and marketing ▲ the necessity of tax reform to support small business owners ▲ sharing activities of the Youth Merchant Network and stores with positive influence.
A Democratic Party campaign committee official said, "Following the 200 young people and online/offline citizens, the third nationwide campaign committee meeting with small business owners will be held," adding, "We will continue to hold highly on-site campaign committee meetings by inviting citizens from various occupations to enter deeply into the people and their livelihoods to listen more closely to public opinion."
