The World Health Organization (WHO) stated on the 3rd (local time) that it has not yet seen any death reports related to the new COVID-19 variant Omicron, according to AFP news agency.
Christian Lindmeier, WHO spokesperson, told reporters in Geneva, Switzerland, on the same day. He added, "Omicron may increase, and we may reach a point where Omicron becomes the dominant variant," but "at this time, the dominant variant is still Delta."
