Jeonbuk Province Secures 8.9368 Trillion Won in 2022 National Budget

Increase of 669.3 Billion KRW Compared to Last Year... Laying the Foundation for a Leap to the Era of Ecological Civilization

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province secured 8.9368 trillion won in the 2022 national budget, an increase of 669.3 billion won compared to the previous year.

Governor Song Ha-jin held a press conference on the 3rd to announce the results of securing the national budget.

According to Jeonbuk Province, first, 401 new projects with significance and substance, amounting to 442.1 billion won, were secured. This represents a 14% increase in the number of projects and a 46% increase in total project costs compared to the previous year.

In addition, related to the key policies that Jeonbuk Province is focusing on, a total of 718.8 billion won was secured for the convergent future new industry sector that will form a new industrial ecosystem.

Next, △ 1.4573 trillion won for the agricultural life industry sector based on Samrak agricultural policy △ 241.4 billion won for the travel and experience sector △ 1.4136 trillion won for the Saemangeum sector △ 1.1018 trillion won for SOC △ 4.0039 trillion won for safety, environment, and welfare.

Governor Song Ha-jin said, “With proactive fiscal policies and efficient budget execution, we will prioritize protecting the lives of residents and nurturing the future of Jeonbuk,” adding, “We will prepare from now on to achieve better results next year.”
