Jeonju City Conducts Comprehensive Survey on Living Conditions and Health Status of Residents Aged 75 and Over

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced on the 3rd that it will conduct a survey targeting all elderly people aged 75 and older to establish a systematic and detailed elderly care safety net.

The first full survey will be conducted from the 6th to the 16th and will target 47,340 elderly people aged 75 and older (born on or before December 31, 1947).

This full survey aims to establish the direction of Jeonju City's elderly welfare policy and to prepare user selection criteria and care service linkage plans considering the characteristics of each care service, and it will be completed by February next year.

In the first survey, 1,299 community leaders from 35 neighborhoods will participate as investigators to conduct the survey focusing on △ living status such as living alone △ frailty (number of diseases) △ daily life conditions such as depression and cognitive impairment, and basic health status.

Jeonju City plans to proceed with the second survey in January next year after the data entry process, analysis of survey results, and selection of subjects based on the first survey.

Additionally, the second survey will be conducted only for those selected as needing care, with a senior survey specialist team formed as a new elderly job project participating as investigators. They will visit the target households to conduct in-depth investigations on medical issues (chronic diseases, cognition, mental health, etc.) and care issues (daily living activities, housing environment, etc.).

In the future, Jeonju City plans to utilize the full survey results to develop various care service linkage plans according to care needs and to establish future elderly welfare policies.
