On the 3rd, through social networking services (SNS), Lee said, "The People Power Party announced new recruits for the presidential election central campaign committee today, and according to this document, it was stated that 'Lee Sang-min, current senior research fellow at the Nara Salim Research Institute, an expert in economic policy, was appointed as the chairman of the campaign committee's Economic and Social Committee.'" He added, "I inform you that I have not had any prior discussion or even been contacted regarding this."

In a phone call with this outlet, Lee said, "At first, I thought it might be someone with the same name, but since the institute's name and title were also mentioned, that is not the case," and added, "There was no contact, and this is the first time I am hearing about it."

Earlier, the People Power Party announced the campaign committee personnel plan. This personnel announcement, which included the launch of the People’s Sympathy Future Policy Group, revealed the appointments of chairpersons and others for organizations directly under the central campaign committee, such as the Judicial Reform Committee, Economic and Social Committee, and Global Vision Committee.
