Gyeongsang National University Opens Simulation Education Center at College of Nursing

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongsang National University held an opening ceremony for the 'Nursing Simulation Center' at the College of Nursing on the 3rd.

The College of Nursing was selected as a standard-type institution for the 'Nursing College Practical Education Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2021, receiving a budget of 600 million won to establish the Nursing Simulation Education Center.

The event was attended by President Kwon Soon-ki, Director Yoon Cheol-ho of Gyeongsang National University Hospital, Head Nurse Park Ok-yeop of Gyeongsang National University Hospital, and nursing professors from Jinju Health College and Changdae.

Following the center's opening ceremony, a seminar related to nursing simulation was also held, moderated by Professor Kang Saem-i.

Yoo Mi, director of the Nursing Simulation Center, stated, "In national disaster situations such as COVID-19, education related to disaster nursing is very important to train and produce nursing personnel who play a crucial role in medical settings."
