'GosuPlus' Wins Grand Prize at Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Investment Attraction Competition

'GosuPlus' Wins Grand Prize at Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Investment Attraction Competition

[Asia Economy (Bucheon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gosu Plus Co., Ltd. won the grand prize at the 'Show Me the Startup IR (Investment Attraction) Pitching Day' hosted by the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation previously held an investment attraction presentation event on the 2nd at the metaverse platform Gather Town to select promising startups.

About 30 audience members participated on-site to listen to presentations from 14 companies seeking investment and voted for the companies they believed needed investment.

The final score reflected the pre-voting scores (20%) from over 9,000 public voters who participated from the 25th to the 30th of last month, expert evaluations (50%), and on-site evaluation panel scores (30%).

According to the high scores, the Gyeonggi Job Foundation selected the top five companies to receive follow-up investment support: Gosu Plus Co., Ltd., MINE, Mayrin ENL Co., Ltd., Manwolhoe Co., Ltd., and Handable. The foundation supports follow-up investment connections with investment institutions for these companies.

The grand prize winner, Gosu Plus Co., Ltd., is a startup operating 'Doknip Saenghwal,' an intermediary transaction platform connecting gosiwon operators and residents. It was recognized for targeting the niche market of gosiwon, a monthly rental housing type, providing convenience from vacancy search to contract and payment.

Park Young-eun, CEO of Gosu Plus Co., Ltd., said, "We were able to inform many people about our business and benchmark the strengths of other companies. Reflecting on our company vision, 'Together with People,' we will do our best to improve the negative perception of living in gosiwon," expressing her award acceptance remarks.

Je Yoon-kyung, CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, emphasized, "The foundation supports job creation through startups in various ways, including startup support and operating startup platforms. We will consider conducting various forms of investment attraction programs so that this support can lead to 'job creation'."

This 'Show Me the Startup IR Pitching Day' is the second investment attraction competition held by the foundation this year. In September, the foundation held the 'Gyeonggi Women Entrepreneurs Investment IR Competition,' a mock investment competition for Gyeonggi women entrepreneurs.
