[Wando＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it held a designation ceremony for the ‘Marine Healing Table No. 1’ at ‘Moraetteul, the Marine Healing First Place’ located in Sinji-myeon.

The Marine Healing Table No. 1 designation ceremony was hosted and organized by Midam Dining Startup Research Institute, with participation from Moraetteul, the Marine Healing First Place, Wando-gun agricultural organization leaders, and heads of research groups by item who jointly developed and researched the Marine Healing Table.

The ‘Marine Healing Table’ consists of abalone seaweed tteokgalbi with seaweed and abalone innards, abalone innard sauce, colored barley seaweed rice with seaweed, sea mustard, and colored barley, seasonal steamed fish, gim soup (gaetguk), seaweed salad, seaweed jeon (pancake), and Wando fruit beverages, using seasonal ingredients harvested in Wando.

Tourists who experienced the Marine Healing Table praised it, saying, “It feels healthy as we can taste the pure flavors of Wando, and especially the abalone seaweed tteokgalbi wrapped in various seaweeds and gim is exquisite.”

Starting with the designation ceremony of Marine Healing Table No. 1, the county plans to establish the Marine Healing Table as a representative dish of Wando by distributing the Marine Healing Table manual to the Marine Healing Center, scheduled to be completed next year, and to hopeful dining businesses, thereby continuously expanding Marine Healing Table restaurants.
