[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Action Square announced on the 3rd that its new multi-platform shooting action game ‘ANVIL’ is making steady progress, ranking 1st in sales in the Steam Korea region and 14th worldwide.
Action Square released ‘ANVIL’ on the 2nd through Steam (Early Access), Xbox console (Game Preview), and Xbox Game Pass.
‘ANVIL’ is a 3D top-down shooting action game featuring various selectable characters, supporting real-time multiplayer, and differentiated from other games through a roguelike system. Players can cooperate with others to progress through stages, and the ‘cross-play’ system allows real-time multiplayer between users on different platforms, such as Steam and Xbox.
Last month, ‘ANVIL’ underwent a final global test to ensure in-game stability and to prepare for smooth gameplay for users. Content improvements based on feedback collected from global users during development and final testing were incorporated into the game.
Kim Yeonjun, CEO of Action Square, said, “’ANVIL’ achieved early success by ranking 1st in sales in the Steam Korea region just one day after release. Through the Early Access launch, we received high marks for server stability and operations, which allows us to expect even better results when the full version is released.”
He added, “Action Square is also doing its best in development to release high-quality games such as the upcoming global titles ‘Blade: Reaction’ and ‘Kingdom: Wanggaui Pi’.”
