Professor Lee Ho-jun received the Grand Prize for the patent on ‘Ion Source Head and Ion Implantation Device Including the Same.’ This patent is a technology that enables the generation of high-frequency plasma even under high vacuum and low flow conditions. It was highly evaluated for improving plasma efficiency, doubling the usage cycle of the ion source, and enabling cost reduction.
Since 2013, SK Hynix has held an awards ceremony every year to select and honor outstanding patents filed during the research projects conducted by industry-academia cooperation universities. Considering the COVID-19 situation this year, SK Hynix representatives personally visited the awardees’ universities to deliver the plaques.
