DB Insurance Offers Free Enrollment for Seoul City Stray Dog Pet Insurance Until the 31st

DB Insurance announced on the 3rd that it will provide free 'pet insurance' until the 31st to guardians who adopt stray dogs in Seoul.

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] DB Insurance announced on the 3rd that it will provide free 'pet insurance' to guardians adopting stray dogs in Seoul until the 31st.

DB Insurance has been offering 'Promy Pet Insurance' since April as the operator of the 'Seoul City Stray Animal Safety Insurance Support Project.'

The pet insurance provided to families adopting stray dogs covers medical and surgical expenses due to illnesses or injuries, including skin diseases. It also covers liability damages if the adopted stray dog causes harm to a person's body or damage to another person's pet.

The insurance period is one year from the application date, and Seoul City supports the one-year insurance premium for pet insurance to families who apply for insurance while adopting a stray dog from an animal protection center. Since the project started on April 16, more than 400 stray dogs have been insured by the end of September.

A DB Insurance official stated, "We hope that, like Seoul City's stray animal policy, similar policies will expand to other local governments to provide necessary welfare benefits to stray animals and adopting families," adding, "We are always ready to cooperate."
