Cuckoo Supports 743 Home Appliances for Vulnerable Groups in Yangsan, Gyeongnam

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Home appliance company Cuckoo announced on the 2nd that it delivered 266 home appliances to vulnerable groups in Yangsan City, Gyeongsangnam-do, where Cuckoo Electronics headquarters is located.

On the 1st, Cuckoo held a delivery ceremony at Yangsan City Hall and supported 266 kitchen appliances, including electric rice cookers, microwaves, and multi-cookers, to households receiving social welfare in the Yangsan area. The ceremony was attended by Kim Il-kwon, Mayor of Yangsan, and Jung Hyun-kyo, Executive Director of Cuckoo Electronics. This delivery ceremony included quantities that had not been delivered so far to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Including this month's support, the company has delivered a total of 743 home appliances to vulnerable groups in Yangsan City this year.

Cuckoo established the Cuckoo Social Welfare Foundation in 2007 to support welfare for marginalized groups and has continued social contribution activities. As part of the 'Cuckoo Support Project for Vulnerable Groups,' the company has been identifying vulnerable groups and providing home appliances every quarter since last year.

A Cuckoo representative said, “We want to support the gradual recovery of daily life for neighbors who have had a difficult time due to COVID-19 and offer a small helping hand,” adding, “We will strive to create a warm world through social contribution activities and sharing that can coexist with the local community.”
