[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] People in their 20s who had supported Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, have declared their withdrawal of support and expressed their intention to support Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.

Ahn Seung-jin, the representative of the 20s supporters group for Yoon called "Team Voice of Fairness," held a press conference at the National Assembly on the 1st along with Jang Kyung-tae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, and declared, "Through this occasion, my team members and I are leaving Yoon's side."

He continued, "While by Yoon's side, we did not even have the opportunity to raise our voices," and criticized, "Today’s People Power Party, Yoon Seok-yeol, and Yoon’s campaign headquarters are ignoring the voices of young people who gathered yearning for change, instead obsessively pursuing personal gain and securing spoils for themselves."

Ahn also stated, "Ultimately, Yoon’s campaign headquarters denied the position of Lee Jun-seok, consistently bypassed him, and caused a situation where Lee Jun-seok himself refused to perform party duties," adding, "The People Power Party’s communication failure with the younger generation can be said to have reached its peak."

Then Ahn declared, "Once again, through this occasion, we declare our support for Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate," explaining, "Because here, there is a presidential candidate waiting who says ‘sorry’ and promises to listen to our stories. We have the expectation that we can confidently raise our voices as the youth of the Republic of Korea."
