Returning to Farming and Rural Life in Boseong, the Capital of Green Tea
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Cheon-seok] Jeollanam-do Boseong-gun (Governor Kim Cheol-woo) announced on the 1st that it won the grand prize in the return-to-farming and return-to-village evaluation category hosted by Jeollanam-do.
The return-to-farming and return-to-village evaluation comprehensively assessed 12 evaluation indicators across 8 categories, including project implementation performance, attraction performance, education, and publicity performance for 21 cities and counties within the province.
Boseong-gun demonstrated creativity in implementing policies for revitalizing farming and fishing villages, and especially received high marks for its efforts in promoting living experiences in rural areas and Jeollanam-do, as well as its support and execution performance in attracting return-to-farming and return-to-village residents.
Currently, the county operates the "Living in Rural Areas and Jeollanam-do" program at three locations, providing valuable opportunities for urban residents to experience rural life in advance through differentiated experiential programs.
With high program satisfaction, the attraction of return-to-farming and return-to-village residents is actively progressing, and on the 15th of last month, it was the only recipient in the Honam region to win the excellence award for the "Living in Rural Areas" program.
A county official stated, "Based on the excellent results of this return-to-farming and return-to-village evaluation, we will strive to help returnees settle stably and revitalize rural areas with new energy."
