[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 1st that it has obtained re-certification as a family-friendly certified institution until 2024.
The family-friendly certification by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family is a system introduced in 2008 that grants certification through evaluation to companies and public institutions that exemplary operate family-friendly systems such as support for childbirth and child-rearing, flexible work systems, and the creation of a family-friendly workplace culture.
The county first obtained the 'family-friendly certification' in December 2016, and passed the validity extension review in December 2019. It has continuously expanded employee welfare benefits such as support for childbirth and child-rearing, operation of flexible work systems, designation and operation of Family Day, establishment of special leave systems for long-term service, child care, and family care, as well as creating a family-friendly workplace culture by providing women's and men's lounges within the county office and supporting comprehensive health checkup expenses.
In June, the family-friendly certification document review and employee satisfaction survey were conducted, and in September, after on-site inspections by related organizations, it passed the approval as a family-friendly certified institution and was recognized as a family-friendly certified institution until November 30, 2024.
County Governor Moon Jun-hee said, "We will continue to strive to boost employee morale by discovering and implementing welfare systems suitable for the organizational environment, and we will strengthen promotion and devise plans to activate the use of currently operating family-friendly systems so that a workplace culture where work and family coexist can be established effectively."
