Fruit of Love Launches 'Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign'

[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonbuk Province and the Community Chest of Korea Jeonbuk Social Welfare Community Chest held the launch ceremony of the ‘Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign’ at Ogeori Culture Square in Jeonju on the 1st, and started fundraising for 62 days until January 31 next year.

At the launch ceremony, Governor Song Ha-jin, Vice Chairman Hwang Young-seok of the Provincial Council, Kim Dong-su, Chairman of the Jeonbuk Social Welfare Community Chest, and others attended, with only essential personnel participating to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The event consisted of △ Presentation of the Community Chest △ Presentation of the first donation for the campaign (Jeonbuk Bank) △ Presentation of support funds for 2022 distribution projects (Jeollabuk-do Social Welfare Council and 466 other locations) △ Performance praying for achieving 100 degrees on the Love Temperature Tower sharing thermometer.

This year’s campaign slogan is ‘Sharing, a social vaccine for all,’ meaning to overcome and recover from social problems and crises caused by COVID-19 through sharing.

The fundraising target for this year is 7.35 billion KRW, and a mobile donation method using QR codes will be introduced to strengthen non-face-to-face fundraising activities.

Jeonbuk Governor Song Ha-jin said in his congratulatory speech, “Although we have taken the first step toward daily recovery, I believe many people will join the sharing journey so that neighbors in difficult situations can have hope,” and added, “Jeonbuk Province will always be with the place of sharing and hope.”

Kim Dong-su, Chairman of the Jeonbuk Social Welfare Community Chest, said, “During this cold and difficult time socially and economically due to the prolonged COVID-19, there are neighbors around us who are in more difficult situations,” and “This year, we will definitely achieve 100 degrees on the sharing thermometer so that the Community Chest of Korea will become hope for neighbors in need throughout the province.”

Meanwhile, participation in the sharing campaign can be made by visiting the Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers or using the neighbor-helping fundraising windows opened at broadcasting stations or newspapers, and it is also easy to participate through ARS.
