[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] WiseBuzz, a digital advertising company based on ad tech, announced on the 1st that it will acquire the ad tech company 'AdWhy' to proactively respond to the rapidly changing digital-centered advertising market after COVID-19.
WiseBuzz will merge AdWhy to actively cope with changes in the advertising market environment and maximize corporate value.
Founded in January 2016, AdWhy is an ad tech specialist company that provides technology and operation platforms for media companies' advertising businesses. It is recognized for its outstanding technological capabilities in the industry through big data handling, data analysis and modeling, revenue optimization, and targeting profiling using deep learning.
Based on solid technological capabilities, AdWhy developed LINE's Dynamic Creative Optimization and also operates its own ad server. Since last year, WiseBuzz and AdWhy have jointly developed and operated the ad server for AfreecaTV.
WiseBuzz decided to acquire AdWhy as part of business diversification to secure new growth engines in the digital advertising market. It plans to absorb not only excellent talent but also verified AdWhy development know-how to develop differentiated and technology-intensive digital marketing solutions.
