[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Woori Financial Group announced on the 1st that it held a 'Neighbor Love Donation Ceremony' at the headquarters of the Community Chest of Korea located in Jung-gu, Seoul, to participate in fulfilling the social responsibility of finance and sharing activities. The ceremony was attended by Sohn Tae-seung, Chairman of Woori Financial Group, and Cho Heung-sik, Chairman of the Community Chest of Korea.
Considering the ongoing economic crisis throughout society due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Woori Financial Group decided to increase its donation by 4 billion KRW from last year to a total of 7 billion KRW. Chairman Sohn stated, "Woori Financial Group will continue to be a reliable sharing partner that adds a loving hand to places in our society where help is needed."
Woori Financial Group has been practicing neighborly love through donations for 12 years since 2009. The donated funds will be used for various social contribution projects, including ▲support for COVID-19 recovery ▲support for vulnerable groups ▲care for socially disadvantaged individuals ▲and efforts to reduce educational disparities.
