NPX Capital Appoints Jeon Yongju, Former D'Live CEO, as New Partner

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Jeong-su] Global investment firm NPX Capital announced on the 1st that it has appointed Jeon Yong-ju, former CEO of D'Live, as its new partner.


The new partner Jeon served as CEO of D'Live for about six years from 2015 until September 2021, overseeing the management and operation of the pay-TV business. During his tenure, he is known to have driven business growth by partnering with the global OTT Netflix, a first in the domestic media industry.


He is a media business management expert who previously held CEO positions at major domestic media companies such as IHQ Co., Ltd., AXN Korea Co., Ltd., CU Media, and YTN Media. He also has experience working as a certified public accountant at Kim & Chang law firm.


Samuel Hwang, CEO of NPX Capital, expressed, "Based on the management capabilities that the new partner has built by successfully leading major media companies, he will serve as a catalyst to enhance the continuous growth and development of NPX Capital’s portfolio companies."


Partner Jeon said, "I am pleased to join a global alternative investment (AI) firm that is actively operating on the world stage," adding, "I will do my best to support the growth of portfolio companies alongside talented investment professionals and help these companies expand their businesses beyond Korea into the global market."


NPX Capital highly values the growth potential in the media and content sectors and has previously invested in Copin Communications, a digital content developer, and TOPCO, a global content company operating the webtoon platform Toptoon. With the addition of the new partner Jeon, NPX Capital plans to accelerate the growth and globalization of its media and content portfolio companies.
