"30-Year-Old Daughter Dies 15 Days After Vaccination Before Wedding"… Mother's Anguished Petition

[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A national petition has been posted claiming that a 30-year-old daughter, who was about to get married, died 15 days after receiving the first dose of the Moderna vaccine.

On the 30th, a petition titled "My daughter died 15 days after vaccination. This is unfair" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board. The petitioner, Ms. A, who identified herself as the mother of the daughter who died after receiving the Moderna vaccine, stated, "My daughter received the first dose of Moderna on the 4th of last month, and she passed away 15 days later, on the 19th of last month."

She continued, "It was very hard raising my daughter alone, but I did my best to raise my precious child so that she could grow up to be a wonderful person without lacking anything," adding, "Thankfully, my daughter grew up bright and healthy, worked diligently at her job, and lived earnestly."

She said, "Then, she met a good partner, registered her marriage with her son-in-law in February this year, and they were happily newlyweds," adding, "They had postponed the wedding ceremony due to the son-in-law's work situation, but they had reserved a wedding hall for April next year and were eagerly looking forward to the day she would wear her dress and walk down the aisle."

Ms. A appealed, "I am barely getting through each day, shedding endless tears thinking about my suddenly departed daughter," adding, "I am holding on with my heart, unable to let go of my daughter who was like my life. I cannot forget the sound of my daughter's bright laughter."

She continued, "The vaccine took away the happiness of my daughter, son-in-law, and the remaining family overnight," and said, "My daughter was only 30 years old. My child, with a bright future ahead, left in an instant. How can a parent fully express in words the pain of losing a child? It is so despairing."

According to Ms. A, she has applied for an investigation into the causal relationship between the vaccine and her daughter's death. She was informed that it would take about a month, but she has not yet received the results.

Ms. A stated, "Most people who died after vaccination are not recognized as having a causal relationship, and it is unclear whether my daughter will be recognized as such, which makes me even more upset," adding, "The vaccine was taken to maintain health, but instead, she died because of the vaccine. It is outrageous and heartbreaking."

Furthermore, she said, "In a government and social atmosphere that strongly encourages vaccination, the government must guarantee clear responsibility so that the public can trust the government and get vaccinated. If my daughter's death, who was perfectly healthy, was not caused by the vaccine, then what on earth was the cause?"
